eCoast was commissioned to determine the actual impact of coastal processes, coastal structures and modifications to the shores of Denarau Island.
Due to continued beach erosion, eCoast was commissioned to determine the actual impact of coastal processes, coastal structures and modifications to the shore of Denarau Island and develop a holistic long-term solution/strategy to manage and protect the beach amenity. The retrival of wave, current and an ensemble of bathymetry data was used for accurate hydrodynamic and sediment transport modelling with the removal and incorporation of different structures that modify the sediment transport regime.
